Nyle DiMarco and Peta Murgatroyd performed a perfect fusion dance of a cha-cha-cha and tango to Calvin Harris’ “Summer” during the “Dancing With The Stars” finale on Tuesday. Watch the video “DWTS” finale video below.
During the first part of the finals on Monday, DiMarco performed two dances that were well-received. His first routine was a quickstep that prompted Len Goodman to again praise him for being a “heck of a dancer.” And while Bruno Tonioli liked his “exuberance,” it was perhaps his excitement that led to some missteps that resulted in straight 9s from the judges.
DiMarco, however, made no mistakes with his freestyle routine. Carrie Ann Inaba said, “In 22 seasons, that is the best dance I have ever seen.” She further expressed that the deaf model has been able to “change the world through dance.” A teary Tonioli added, “That was beyond dancing. That was a work of art.” And Goodman told DiMarco, “You’re a very special person, and that was a very special dance.” The model ended the first night of dancing with a perfect 30.
For DiMarco’s last dance on Tuesday, Goodman said, “You get no sympathy vote from me… You deserve to be in the finals.” Inaba said in sign language, “Thank you for showing us your beautiful heart,” which drew tears from DiMarco. And Tonioli said, “That was glorious in every way.” He added, “You have exceeded every expectation.”
Following DiMarco and Murgatroyd’s finale fusion dance, they received a perfect 30 out of 30 points. Check out the video below of Nyle DiMarco and Peta Murgatroyd’s fusion dance during the “Dancing With The Stars” finale.”
